Objective: This study was focused on the assessment of patient’s improvement in hearing, as measured by pure tone audiometry after stapedotomy for primary otosclerosis. Materials and Methods: prospective clinical performed a total 156 patients diagnosed with Primary Otosclerosis, who underwent Stapedotomy at Department ENT & Head-Neck Surgery, Combined Military Hospital Dhaka between January 2013 to 2019. All were evaluated per candidacy criteria selected surgery during period followed up 12 months Otology clinic. Pre Post-operative audiometric evaluation done using conventional standard calibrations. 03 month, 06 months. The bone-conduction air conduction thresholds Air-Bone gap (ABG), documented analyzed 0.5 KHz, 1 2 KHz 4 frequencies respectively. subjective outcomes hearing also recorded patient satisfaction questionnaire assess quality stapedotomy. Results: Overall, frequency specific pre-operative mean averaged Air Conduction 63.3dB 500Hz, 57.5dB 55.1dB 45.7dB KHz. post-operative thresolds 34.6 dB 28.9 1Kz, 30.5dB 2Kz 33.3dB 4Kz.The average post operative Bone Gap (ABG) closure achieved 28.7dB 27.6 1KHz, 24.6 2KHz 12.4 4KHz time completion 01 year. A successful AB less than 10dB speech 83.97% cases. unchanged postoperatively all cases except 03, showing that no significant sensori-neural impairment had occured due procedure. 04 developed post-op severe vertigo which self-limiting six weeks. transient facial weakness subsided over Patients included our audiological responded satisfactorily formulated their Conclusions: Our case confirms is safe procedure providing long-term shows meticulous selection will result highly outcomes. The Hearing Results in Otosclerosis after Stapedotomy

Otosclerosis is the most frequent cause of conductive hearing loss in patients with intact tympanic membrane. It can be treated by surgery with various techniques. Because of limited manipulation and comparably similar results, stapedotomy at present is preferred over other surgical techniques by most surgeons. Here we present the operative results of 114 otosclerotic patients who underwent sta...
